Searching for the title of a horror movie?
I have seen this quite a while ago, so my memory might be a bit fuzzy. It is a horror movie from what I think the 1990 or earlier, judging by the special effects.

The movie is about a group of people being, what I think, shipwrecked. They happen to stumble on another ship and enter it. I do remember the weather being awful. In the ship, they find that the crew of that ship is missing, later it turns out that this crew has been assimilated in some grotesque creature, which uses the voices of people to lure the remaining living. The final confrontation takes place on the deck of the ship, while the rest of what I remember of the movie takes place in the ship.

I know it is not Leviathan (which I initially thought), the abyss, deepstar six or the rift (aka endless descent). After a lot of searching, I haven’t been able to find it though.
I need to add (since I cannot reply directly) that it is not Virus. The creature in question was organic and the movie seems to be much older than Virus.

Opportunity Knocks (1990) IMDB rating: 5.70 Plot: Eddie and Lou are a couple of two-bit con men on the lam from a loan shark. They hide out in someone’s house and they hear on the answering machine that (A) the owner of the house is out of the country for a month or two and (B) the housesitter supposed to watch the house for the absent owner won’t be able to watch the house due to a new job in another part of the country. This provides for a pretty nifty arrangement for Eddie and Lou…until the relatives of the house owner drop by to visit. Eddie quickly adopts the guise of the person supposedly housesitting for the owner, and the shenanigans start from there.
